Our campground is high in the hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just 3 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you wish for your camping experience to have all the elements of nature, then Montebello is the place to be. We are surrounded by mountains and streams and we're nearby several hiking and nature trails.
The Tye River winds along State Route 56 on the way to Montebello. We are surrounded by the George Washington National Forest and close to Crabtree Falls, the highest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi. Several AT Trailheads are just a few miles away. Nelson County has an abundance of things to do during your stay, including wineries, breweries, orchards, and year-round outdoor recreational activities and historical sites.
